In love with dining out – Madrid
Traditional Spanish food in an up-to-date and easy way, good market products and an excellent wine cellar, that’s what you’ll find here in Taberna Arzábal. Opposite Retiro Park, they have 2 restaurants and a private club I have yet to go.
As they bring you your drinks (they have great wines by glass, I love Pétalos del Bierzo) they also bring you some bread and a bucket (yeah) of homemade butter, delicious, you can’s stop!
Order the Iberico croquetes, really good and the Salmorejo, a little spicy, very tasty.
There are many starters to choose from, but also main dishes as the Hamburger, amazing melty meat, rocket, dry tomato, great potatoes or Carrillera (pork stew)
It’s a fantastic place to have a casual lunch or dinner, if you decide it on the fly you can get some place at the bar. Wine for 2 people, 2 starters, 2 main dishes, dessert and coffee will be about 35€ each.
