In love with dining out – Madrid
This is so Madrid! Taberna La Dolores. A facade with painted tiles, dark wood shelves filled with bottles, blackboards with recommended tapas and montados, a bar area full of groups of friends standing, a table area with a sign that reads “Dining only”. This emblematic tavern is famous for their great cañas (small glasses of draught beer) and boquerones en vinagre, and was opened in 1.908.
Great place to whet your appetite before lunch or dinner, stand at the bar and order a caña, they’ll also serve you a typical tapa to have with it, or if you prefer you can sit down and order some Boquerones en vinagre or Anchovies, typically with some olives and chips, or Berberechos (cockles):
It’s a classic place for foreigners and locals where you can go to taste some castizo atmosphere in Huertas neighborhood but knowing for sure you are having great quality tapas and cañas.
Plaza de Jesús, 4. No reservation.
