In love with dining out – Madrid
Sergi Arola, an award-winning and renowned Spanish chef, has opened another tapas restaurant in Madrid, Vi Cool at Jorge Juan st. It’s not his first tapas restaurant, and it’s not a traditional tapas restaurant.
For example, their famous Patatas bravas (it’s a traditional Spanish tapa, spicy potatoes) look like this:
Really delicious, crispy, tasty and surprising. Last time we also ordered Smoked eggplant with with toasted pinenuts and balsamic:
Classic tapas with a twist, I’ll keep coming until I try everything!
They have a wood oven to make Cocapizzas, something between the Cataluña’s coca and the Italian pizza. Also for the Hamburgers, worth a try, served in their special burger bun with cured cheddar cheese, green tomato and fried crispy onion with a side of potato wedges deep fried with paprika pepper.
I really liked the Chocolate mousse with mango:
With a glass of wine it was 25€ per person. They usually have promotions, especial menus and daily menu of course.
The one I’ve tried is at Lagasca 32, it’s better to make a reservation, you can do it online (but not at their website as it links to the Huertas st. restaurant only, at least until now): eltenedor reservas.
